Writing paradox

We write about death
but cling fiercely to life.
We write of bloods
still pumping through the darkest night.

We write of loneliness
celebrating common wholeness
of the welcomed word
that is never deferred.

We write of hearts that break
as though the world could never mend
the tears that came in the end
when we put all of ours at stake.
